Where we work
DOT Compliance Consultant for Illinois Carriers
INFOMAX CONSULTING is a DOT and FMCSA compliance consultant for motor carriers across Illinois, with one office in the western suburbs. Carriers in the Chicago area get on-site work; carriers elsewhere in Illinois and nationwide get the same program remotely.

INFOMAX CONSULTING INC. works out of a single location in south Naperville, in the western suburbs near Aurora, Plainfield, and Bolingbrook. Downtown Chicago is roughly 35 miles east.

Coverage model
How coverage actually works.
On-site work runs across the counties around the office: DuPage County, Will County, Kane County, Cook County, Lake County, McHenry County, and Kendall County. Inside that radius, being there is cheap enough that we default to it. Somebody drives out, walks the yard, opens the filing cabinet, and watches how a load actually gets dispatched. Most of what goes wrong in a compliance program is a process problem rather than a document problem, and process problems are visible in a yard and invisible in a shared folder.
Statewide, the question we answer most is which rule set applies. Carriers operating only within Illinois follow state safety rules administered by the Illinois Department of Transportation, which adopt most of 49 CFR by reference with state exceptions, and for-hire intrastate carriers also need a Public Carrier Certificate from the Illinois Commerce Commission. Carriers in interstate commerce fall under FMCSA. Plenty of Illinois fleets are both at once, and the compliance program has to say which loads fall under which.
Outside the on-site radius the program is identical and the delivery is remote. Remote does not mean a template and a phone call. You send records, we read them against the same parts an FMCSA reviewer reads them against, and you get the same written findings with owners and dates. DataQ filings, Clearinghouse queries, permit and registration work, driver file maintenance, and monthly CSA monitoring are all record work: they happen in the same systems whether we are forty minutes away or four states away. The piece that genuinely benefits from being in the room is the first assessment, and for an out-of-state carrier we replace it with a longer document review and a guided video walk of the yard and the shop.
That is also why there are two local pages here rather than twenty. A page for every town we could technically drive to would be a list of place names with the same paragraph under each, which helps nobody deciding whether to call. Naperville gets its own page because it is where the office is, and the small and growing fleets around it, in Aurora, Plainfield, Bolingbrook, and the rest of DuPage and Will counties, are usually working through authority questions, new entrant audits, and registration. Chicagoland gets one page for the wider metro, from Chicago out to Lake, McHenry, and Kane counties, because those fleets are usually working through inspection volume, interchange equipment, and crash records. If your market is not one of those two, the work is the same and the conversation starts the same way.
Local pages
Our home office, and the metro around it.
Each page covers the regional freight picture, the enforcement environment, the six programs scoped to that market, and how an engagement starts.
